On Monday, the final photo electoral roll, 2021 for three Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LAC) of Lakhimpur district was published.

In the presence of the representatives of the political parties, a meeting was organized at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office under the support of the office of Lakhimpur District Election Officer. District Development Commissioner (DDC) Manoj Kumar Baruah was in charge of the meeting. The DDC and other officers of the district administration released the final Photo Electoral Roll, 2021 for No. 109 Bihpuriya LAC, No. 110 Naoboicha LAC and No. 111 Lakhimpur LAC.

Citizens having any complaint or doubts regarding the final Electoral Roll could contact the office of the District Election Officer for the correction, said District Election Officer Debashish Goswami. The District Election Officer said, “This year priority was given to enroll the name of fresh voters of the age group from 18 to 19 years. In this regard, various awareness campaigns were initiated among the common people in the past days. Moreover, due measures and endeavours were taken to prepare a flawless electoral roll”.

COVID-19 patients can cast their votes in the upcoming election via postal ballot as per COVID-19 guidelines. Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and the Senior Citizens above 80 years can also exercise their franchise in the same manner.
