Assam’s Monoj Kumar Gogoi has been named Executive Director (ED) of the Food Corporation of India (FCI).
Gogoi, who is from Sivasagar in upper Assam, was previously the Chief General Manager (CGM) at FCI headquarters in New Delhi before being promoted to ED.
Gogoi, 52, is the first Assamese FCI officer to be promoted directly to this position.
He has also been assigned the roles of Executive Director (Purchase, I&E, TI Cell, International Cooperation) and Secretary to the Board of Directors at FCI Headquarters.
