P Sivakumar, IFS ,Field Director and Ramesh Kumar Gogoi, Divisional Forest officer inaugurated Phase IV – Tiger Monitoring for 2021 in presence of senior forest officer and few media persons on Wednesday. Notably, this year , whole Kaziranga Tiger Reserve has been renamed as Block -1, 2 ,3 & 4. First two blocks in Eastern Assam Wildlife Division, Block 3 is Biswanath Wildlife Division and Block 4 is Nagaon Wildlife Division comprising 1000 sq. km out of the total 1055 sq. km of Tiger Reserve area.  Apart from large numbers of forest personnel, few volunteers from local schools and colleges will also be engaged for the purpose.
