Assam Police busts scam worth 30 lakh rupees in Guwahati

In Guwahati, Assam police discovered a scam worth Rupees 30 lakhs after a late-night search. Mridupaban Neog is accused of duping his victim by impersonating a top government of India official.

A person named Imran filed a FIR against him in Nagaon police station, alleging that the accused had taken money from him for a vehicle and failed to deliver it. Nagaon and Guwahati Police conducted a joint search for the missing accused, discovering a pistol, 20 live rounds, lakhs of rupees in gold jewellery, a large quantity of foreign liquor, and numerous fake documents and stickers from various government departments.

The government of India stickers were pasted on all of the accused Neog’s vehicles and even his home. The accused, on the other hand, was unable to be apprehended by the police because he fled before they arrived at his home.
