A 3-hour sit-in was staged in front the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath on Thursday by the Biswanath district committee of Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP)in support of their demands.

The demonstration was staged by the AJP in demand of immediate restoration of the landless people of Laika and Dodhia villages, flood and erosion affected people of the State and for the implementation of the Hari Sankar Brahma Committee report.

The protest was supported in physical presence by the assistant general secretary of AJP, and other AJP leaders.
