A 12-hour protest was staged by the Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti, the students wing of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) in front of the Guwahati University.

They demanded dismissal of CAA and release of leader Akhil Gogoi who was arrested due to charges by the NIA.

Protection of the Democratic rights was sought during the protest.
