Assam: Sonitpur Police busts fake Rackets of Gold Vendors

On Friday, the Sonitpur Police conducted another successful operation in the district as part of its efforts to combat the rackets of bogus gold vendors.

The operation took place at Assam’s Sonitpur district’s Napam market, which is under the jurisdiction of Tezpur police station.

Sub-inspector Bhargab Borbora, in command of the Borghat outpost, led the operation.

The police crew discovered four phoney gold cookies weighieration.

Sonitpur Police said on Twitter that the fake gold cookies were found in the possession of Kitab Ali, son of Alal Ali, a resident of Kurkani under Tezpur police station.
