“The Story of Budheswar,” a Bodo documentary, has received international praise, winning best Indian documentary at the Crown Wood International Film Festival and best documentary short film at the Golden Leaf International Film Festival.

Bishal Swargiary directed the Bodo documentary “The Story of Budheswar,” which was produced by Abhimanyu Hazarika and co-produced by Biswajit Roy, Pinku Swargiary, and Umit Basumatary.

The documentary was also shown at the National Film Development Corporation’s South Asia’s Largest Film Market Film Bazaar, 2021. (NFDC).

The film was also chosen for the 6th Sanctuary International Film Festival as well as the 2nd Calcutta International Short Film Festival.

The documentary was also shown at the 5th Global Youth Film Festival, which took place in Bangladesh on December 26-28, 2021.

“The Story of Budheswar” is a short documentary in Bodo language that tells the storey of Budheswar Boro, a poacher-turned-nature lover.

Budheswar Boro became a member of the Manas Maozigendri Ecotourism Society, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Manas National Park.

Budheswar Boro became a poacher as a result of rampant unemployment. Boro also had an arm injury while hunting.

Budheswar Baro, a former poacher, is transformed into a wildlife lover in the documentary. Biswajit Roy and Bishal Swargiary are responsible for the documentary’s cinematography.

Pinku Swargiary and Umit Basumatary provide on-location sound. Arnab Bashistha composed the music for the documentary. Ishanu and Vivaan are in charge of mixing and mastering.

Uddipta Kumar Bhattacharya is the documentary’s colorist. Pranjal Medhi designed the poster for the film. Shiva Muchahary provided the subtitles.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Narzary and Partha Pratim Das have arranged for more footage. Dhiraj Das worked in the documentary’s editing.
