A honey-trap ring was uncovered in a tiny village in Upper Assam in a horrific event.

According to reports, the honey trapping ring was discovered by the Dergaon police on Tuesday.

Four members of the ring, including two women, were apprehended by the cops. The extortion ring, which operated in the municipality for a while, blackmailed rich residents. According to sources, other people connected to them will be detained shortly.

“Previously, due to a lack of proof, authorities were unable to take action against the scam. We now have enough proof that they are participating in illegal operations,” according to police sources.
