Girls cadets of NCC of Mangaldai College under 73 Assam Girls (I) Company took part in the ‘Fit India Freedom Run’ led by ANO Major (Dr) Leena Saikia in the early hours of Saturday, as part of a countrywide glorious celebration of the 75th Independence Day. The girl cadets had previously competed in a Digital Post Card/Poster competition based on the Indian Constitution’s Preamble, followed by a Statue Cleaning activity in which they cleaned Mahatma Gandhi’s statue on the campus of the DC’s Darrang office.

Girls cadets from NCC Mangaldai College, who are members of the 73 Assam Girls (I) Company of the National Cadet Corps, Tezpur, have won numerous awards and scholarships. Cadet Dharitri Nath was awarded the CWS scholarship this year, and Cadet Hiya Devi was named the 2nd Best Cadet.
