Martyr of Assam Soldier Haradhan Rai at LOC

Haradhan Rai, an Indian Soldier and Son of Assam was among the 5 soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the Country at the Line of Control on November 13, 2020. Belonging from Bilasipara in Dhubri district. Haradhan Rai has left his 2-year-old child fatherless.
Officials said, eleven people which included five soldiers were killed in ceasefire violations in a sudden outburst at the Line of Control by Pakistani troops in different areas in north Jammu and Kashmir yesterday.
One Border Security Force (BSF) Sub-Inspector along with four Soldiers of the army were killed in Pakistani firing, said officials.
Mortars and other weapons used by the Pakistani forces took the lives of six civilians which included a woman as well.
According to army sources, two SSG (Special Service Group) commandos and around 6 to 7 Pakistani soldiers have been killed and 10 to12 were injured.
Among the destroyed properties includes number of Pakistani army bunkers, fuel dumps and launch pads, they added. Videos of the bombings were released by the army as evidence.
Officials reported that two civilians lost their life in Kamalkote sector in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir including a Woman from Balkote area in Haji Peer sector of Uri.
Many people got injured in the Pakistani shelling inside Indian Territory, according to official reports.
Ceasefire violations were reported from Uri, Izmarg in Gurez sector of Bandipora district and Keran sector of Kupwara district.
In the Keran sector along the Line of Control (LoC) the army sealed off an infiltration attempt under the cover of the Pakistani firing, said a defence spokesperson.
Col Rajesh Kalia said , “Suspicious movement was observed by our troops at the forward posts along the LoC in Keran sector (in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district) today. The suspected infiltration bid was foiled by alert troops”.
