The Assam Rifles and Manipur Police in a joint operation arrested a rebel from the proscribed outfit group United National Liberation Front (UNLF) on January 25th.
The UNLF cadre was caught from Kongba Bazar in Imphal East District, as per reports.
The arrested has been recognized as self-styled cadre Mayangmayum Zinath (aka Samsin and Samser), a resident of Top Khongnangkhong village of Imphal East District.
Irilbung Police Station (PS) took over the rebel for further investigation and legal action.
