According to the BJP Manipur state unit in the recently ended by-poll in Manipur Congress gained no success which points out that the party is dismissed by the public of the state.

Ch Bijoy, Manipur State Unit BJP spokesperson in a press conference asserted that the by-poll results indicated that Congress has been disregarded by the residents of both the hills and the valley of the state.

The oath taking ceremony of the four freshly elected members of the state Assembly will take place on Thursday.

The oath taking will be administered by speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Y Khemchand to the freshly elected members – Ngamthang Haokip, Agriculture minister Oinam Lukhoi and Paonam Brojen (all BJP) and Y Antas Khan (independent).

A notification of the Manipur Assembly secretariat said, the venue for the oath taking ceremony is scheduled at the conference hall of the state Assembly at 1.30 pm.
