A book titled INA and Manipur : An Unforgettable Battle for India’s Independence was released by the Vice Chancellor of Manipur University Prof Amar Yumanm at the conference Hall of the Department of Commerce , Manipur University,commemorating the 125th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. The book was  edited by Shukhdeba Sharma Hanjabam and Aheibam Koireng Singh.

A penal discussion on the book was also held.

The book is an accumulation of different historical account penned by scholars which includes Prof A Lokendro, (Dept of History MU), Dr (Lt Gen Retd) K Himalaya Singh, Lt Gen (Retd) L Nishikant Singh , War researcher Rajeshwor Yumnam among others.

VC of Manipur University Prof Amar Yuman highlighted on the significance of 2nd world war relating to Manipur’s relations with Japan.

Discussion of INA’s relations with Manipur which created close proximity with Japan was also done.
