Aadhaar enrolment starts from October 21 in West Khasi Hills

The Government Scheme beneficiaries like FPS, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), and others are to have an Aadhaar Card to enjoy the facilities extended by the Government of India, informed West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, T. Lyngwa.
He added that every head of the households and dealers of FPS are to enroll themselves for Aadhaar without which they will provide no facilities.
The special Aadhaar enrollment in West Khasi Hills will take place from October 21 onwards till the end of December 2020.
The registration will take place in the DC office, SDO (Civil) Mairang and Mawshynrut, the villages identified by the local authority to assist villagers living in far-flung areas are to get themselves enrolled.
The Deputy Commissioner also urged the various Department officials, Gram Sevaks, Ashas and Anganwadi workers in spreading the message of the importance of an Aadhaar Card, be it beneficiaries or students to avail scholarships and admission outside the State.
