The chief minister added that the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government established the Promotion and Incubation of Market Pushed Enterprise, or PRIME, initiative in 2019 with a “firm goal” of assisting the state’s prospective entrepreneurs.

The PRIME programme focuses on market entrance, talent development, and expertise and credit score connections for businesses. He recognised the federal government’s PRIME programme as a means for entrepreneurs to deal with a variety of challenging situations that may arise during their entrepreneurial journey.

In encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs to be innovators, he remarked, “Entrepreneurs mustn’t merely manufacture items, but additionally provide entire alternatives with correct pricing, which is the key to a prosperous company enterprise.”

Sangma also emphasised the need of being environmentally conscious in delivering business solutions that can ensure compliance with many national laws and help the state and country to meet the Sustainable Growth Targets (SDGs).

During the ceremony, the PRIME annual booklet and PRIME ID financing were also unveiled, and the CM presented checks and diplomas to the businesses.
Certificates of on-boarding and checks of Rs 1 lakh each were handed to the first 25 entrepreneurs in the Cohort-2 2021 cohort, while cheques of Rs 50,000 each were given to the next 25 entrepreneurs.
