Environment and Forest Minister takes stock of Assam-Mizoram border situation

Parimal Suklabaidya, Minister for Environment and Forest paid a visit to the areas of Tulartal, Baghewala, Singua and Lailapur along the Assam-Mizoram inter-state border on Thursday to diminish the fears of local people who are terrorized by unlawful Mizos and to reassure them that the state government on their side.

The Minister urged the local people not to panic unnecessarily and said that the government is making all out efforts

To resolve the Assam-Mizoram border dispute the government is putting all efforts, therefore the Minister urged the local people not to panic unnecessarily.

The current situation was discussed over telephone by Suklabaidya with the higher ups of the police administration. On that very day, he also visited the newly set up Border Outpost in the area of Singua as he spoke to the police personnel on duty and inquiring about their problems. The local Lailapur Police Outpost was visited by him and he spoke to the prominent citizens and police officials.

Minister Suklabaidya promised to set up

Another BoP at Tulartal and Baghewala areas to be set up soon by Minister Suklabaidya after separate border outpost setup was demanded by the locals.

Dholai Madhya Zila Parishad member Shashank Chandra Pal, Dholai Gaon Panchayat President Bhushan Pal, BJP Narsinghpur Mandal General Secretary, Kamlesh Das, Sheoratal Gaon Panchayat President, Sunendra Chandra Barmanche, Ajay Kumar Das and others accompanied the Minister.
