In Karimganj district people have set up bunkers along the Lowirpoua-Kanmun National Highway amid Border tension.

It was also reported that miscreants have taken control of about three kilometres of the Medlichhara Forest Reserve area under Patharkandi Assembly constituency in the district.

Slogans were heard agaist the Government of India around the dispute area from Young Mizo Association and local Mizo residents.

A case was lodged according to the decision taken at the administrative-level meeting held at Karimganj in the presence of Assam IGP (Law and Order) GP Singh, said DFO, Jalnur Rahman of Karimganj.
