An official from the Mizoram government announced on Wednesday that the state’s Transport Department has launched an online payment system.

T J Lalnuntluanga, the Mizoram Transport Minister, launched the online payment system on Tuesday.

He said the department, in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the State Bank of India (SBI), launched an online payment system that users can access from anywhere and at any time during the pandemic to ensure ease of payment and avoid physical cash transactions at cash counters
