To control the increased number of COVID-19 cases, the lockdown in Aizawl was extended till November 9 on Monday, an official said.
It was decided at a meeting chaired by Health Minister R Lalthangliana between health officials, the doctors’ association, NGOs, and churches, he said.
The lockdown will be withdrawn at 4.30 am on November 9, official reported.
To break the chain of transmission they imposed lowdown in Aizawl minucipal area from October 27.
