Mizoram Registers 1754 New Cases in COVID-19; Positivity Rate of 26.45%

According to the latest report from the state Department of Information and Public Relations, Mizoram has registered 1754 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with zero fatalities (DIPR).

Furthermore, according to information shared by the state government today, the daily positivity rate has been reported to be 26.45 percent.

The total number of active cases is now 14857. In Mizoram, there have been a total of 1,85,227 COVID-19 cases reported so far. The deadly infection has claimed the lives of 621 people.

On February 5, 2022, a total of 6632 samples were tested, with 768 samples belonging to males and 986 samples belonging to females.

Furthermore, the northeastern state’s total recovery rate is 1,69,749. RT-PCR detected 493 (25.36 percent) positive cases, TrueNAT detected 98 (46.44 percent) positive cases, and RAgT and FIA detected 1113 (28.87 percent) and 50 (28.57 percent) positive cases, respectively, according to the official statement.
