A delegation of Eastern Nagaland legislators and Department of Under Developed Areas (DUDA) officials informed DoNER Minister G Kishan Reddy about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special economic package announced during his visit to Eastern Nagaland in 2018. The delegation was met with the DoNER minister in New Delhi on Wednesday and submitted various proposals for Eastern Nagaland development projects for early approval.

The delegation also mentioned the meeting the day before between the NITI Aayog CEO and officials in the CEO’s office to remind him of the project proposal submitted to the DoNER Ministry. Later, the group placed a call to Union Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju at his New Delhi residence.

They informed him of the Prime Minister’s special package for eastern Nagaland and asked for his help and intervention. Rijiju promised to meet with the DoNER Minister and others to promote the timely completion of the project submitted to the DoNER Ministry.
