Following all COVID-19 norms and maintaining strict security the counting of by-poll votes to two assembly constituencies started in Nagaland from 8am on Tuesday, said election officials.

After the death of sitting legislators Vikho-o Yhoshu and T Torechu, the by-elections were held in Southern Angami-I and Pungro-Khipre seats on November 3, respectively.

The Officials said that, arrangements of  a three-tier security has been made at the two counting centers.

To tackle any unforeseen situation, Central forces and state police have been deployed.
