Nagaland: Repoll in two polling stations

In two polling stations of the Pungro-Kiphire assembly segment in Nagaland, re-election was done today.

On November, by-poll was conducted in the Pungro-Kiphire seat in the Kiphire district which was declared void by the Election Commission of India.

The polling was held in 8-Kipongya Ward ‘A’ in Kiphire town and 11-Singrep village polling stations from 6 to 4 pm.

Due to the death of Naga People’s Front (NPF) MLA T Torechu, the by-election was needed to be conducted in Pungro-Kiphire seat.

Kipongya Ward ‘A’ has 779 electorates while 11-Singrep has 947 voters.

On November 10, the counting of votes will be done.
