Police apprehends one for murder of teenage girl

According to reports, the discovery of a bludgeoned body of a 17-year-old minor girl who was later identified as belonging to a tribe from Nagaland, was reportedly discovered within St. Claire Higher Secondary School premises, Kacharigaon here Thursday morning.
Dimapur police in a tweet, informed that a male accused has been arrested in connection with the murder.
The victim, a class-X student of another school, bore multiple injury marks on the head, face etc. and suspected to have been hit with a blunt object, police sources said.
When contacted, Commissioner of Police (CP) Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo, told Nagaland Post that investigation was on to ascertain facts and circumstances leading to the death. CP asserted that until forensic results were not out, the cause of death cannot be speculated. He, however, maintained that injury marks suggested that the victim may have been beaten to death.
