NHPC CMD A.K. Singh along with NHPC director (technical) Y.K. Chaubey, visited Sikkim on Friday, a NHPC release informed. It was his first visit to Sikkim after taking charge as the NHPC CMD.

Various pending issues regarding 520 Mw Teesta-IV hydel power project in Sikkim was discussed by Singh with Rural Development minister Sonam Lama, the release mentioned.

The 500 Mw Teesta-VI Project and other NHPC project status was informed to the minister by the NHPC CMD. The minister gave assurance of full support and cooperation to NHPC.

Chattopadhyay, executive director, Siliguri Region, NHPC, Sahadev Khatua, general manager, Teesta-V power station, Sandeep Kumar, CEO of Teesta-VI HE Project and other senior officers of NHPC gave a warm welcome to the NHPC CMD and the director (technical) on their arrival at Gangtok.
