A Government employee, Sanat Chakma along with another youth from Tripura was arrested from Kanchanpur in North Tripura district by police for his involvement in a drug fraudulent scheme.

A raid was pulled and stocks of heroin were recovered in the Malakar Basti of Laljuri block in Kanchanpur based on an information received by Kanchanpur sub-divisional police officer, Bikramjit Shukladas.

Police sources said, the heroine recovered is worth few lakhs of rupees.

The accused is an upper-division clerk at the sub-divisional administration office in Panisagar.
