Two hardcore cadres of the banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) have surrendered before the police in Tripura. The two NLFT rebels surrendered before the North Tripura SP and DIG ( Northern range) Lalhminga Darlong.

Both the surrendered NLFT rebels received training in Bangladesh and were living in Nagaland along with NSCN members.

Both the militants laid down their arms while surrendering. The two surrendered NLFT rebels handed over three revolvers with ammunition

The two surrendered NLFT rebels have been identified as Uttam Kishore Jamatia and Joseph Jamatia.
