How to reach?

By Air: The Imphal Airport is the nearest airhead to Tamenglong. Imphal is 158 kilometers from Tamenglong while the airport is situated 8 kilometers from the capital city. The airport is well connected to the major cities of India. From the airport,t shuttle vehicles can be easily availed to reach Tamenglong.

By Rail: Since Manipur doesn’t have a railhead, the nearest railway station is at Dimapur. To reach Tamenglong, tourists will need to break the journey via Imphal. Dimapur is 215 kilometers from Imphal. Add another 158 kilometers to reach Tamenglong. There are regular vehicles available from both Imphal and Dimapur to reach Tamenglong.

By Road: National Highway 53 and National Highway 39 connect Manipur to the rest of the country. To reach Tamenglong, tourists will need to travel on NH53 via the Old Cachar Road and the Tamenglong Khongsang Road. The state highways also reach Tamenglong from Imphal and are served by the state transport buses.
