Assamese music video in top 100 global YouTube billboard

The Assamese music video, Neta Song, an Assam election song by Axl Hazarika, became the first Assamese music video to be among the top 100 global YouTube music videos.

The political satire music video is an Assamese Electronic Dance Music (EDM) song.

It notched the 71st position in the global chart.

Earlier, the song became the first Assamese entry in the YouTube India music chart.

The music video was placed in the 19th position in the YouTube India Official Music Video chart while the song was in the 29th position in the YouTube India Music chart.

“The video is an attempt to troll the corrupt politicians of our society. Good ones get sidelined while the corrupt and cunning get the opportunities. I make metal and experimental stuff usually. Many young kids used to ask me to make a fun song,” Hazarika told.

The music video is directed by Axl Hazarika.

Hazarika is currently working as Digital Archive head at Jyoti Chitraban.

He is an experimental music artist from Northeast India.

Axl recently became the first and only Indian artist to rank in SoundCloud Top 10 Global Trance music chart & Billboard music chart.

His Assamese music video ‘Goru Bihu Song’ was officially screened at one of the largest international film festivals in Europe – 47th Sehsüchte at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf housed at Babelsberg Film Studio.

It is the oldest large-scale film studio in the world, producing films since 1912. It is the same premise where Assamese legend, Jyoti Prasad Agarwala, learned filmmaking.
