(World Food Day) This day marks the foundation of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations (UN) that happened on October 16, 1945. The day is celebrated widely by many other organizations concerned with food security, including the World Food Programme and the International Fund for Agricultural Development. Some of you are probably misguided about the World Food Day, and barely know about this day, of course it’s food day and the first thing that comes in mind is (Food) but can you reason it that why this day is important?
Actually, we all know that food is essential for survival, but still some people can’t meet the basic necessity. “World Food Day 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of FAO in an exceptional moment as countries around the world deal with the widespread effects of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Globally millions of people starving, and the crisis have no end, but we can make a change by feeding them for a better tomorrow, and how can we forget our farmers who feed this nation, let’s take a pledge that we rededicate ourselves and commit to eradicate hunger, and honour our Farmers protect there livelihood and commit ourselves towards nourishing our nation sustainably.
