It only took a little time for mask-wearing to become a trend assertion. And while I don’t think you need a lot of masks to match all of your outfits, I think there’s a misunderstanding that because we’re wearing face masks we don’t get to look good. Oh, the converse, friends. Wearing a mask is even more of an explanation to get dolled up if you ask me. So whether you’re on a socially distant snap, heading to the grocery store, or walking around the neighborhood, you have every right and reason to look and feel your absolute best.
Of course, At some point even if we are heading to a grocery shop we all want to look great somehow, and for that, you have to first know how you can work on that naturally–
Hydrated, Smooth Skin
A great base always begins with skin that looks and appears smooth and hydrated. Without skin prep, your makeup can look cakey, dry, and heavy on your skin, and that’s not a good feeling ever, but especially when you’re wearing a mask across the top of it. Prep your skin for the day with products that hydrate and soothe.
Groomed Brows
Brows are the framework of your face, so when your brows look marvelous, it’s difficult to notice anything else, like your patch on your forehead or the under-eye bags from staying up all night watching web series.
Bold Lashes
You can pair this with a bold eyeshadow, a winged liner, or whatever it is you like to do on your eyes, but in a pinch, adding a few coats of mascara brightens your eyes like nothing else. There is so much you can do with mascara that you don’t even need eyeshadow to play with your look every day.
Bronzed Skin
Your skin looks flat and dull without a little warm bronzer, especially in the summer. Although some of your faces will be covered, the tops of your cheekbones and forehead are a great place to add a little extra color to your skin. It’s that je ne sais quoi of summer beauty.
Accessories
Just because you have a mask on doesn’t mean you can’t wear jewelry, especially earrings. Adding a pair of hoops or dangling earrings sounds like a lot of extra work, but seeing your earrings peek out from behind your mask shows you put that little bit of effort in.
