The state government announced on Tuesday that BrahMos Aerospace has planned to build a state-of-the-art production facility in Uttar Pradesh for its next-generation missile project.

According to the firm, the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile system is one of the greatest in the world, and the proposed facility in Lucknow would form part of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor.

According to the state administration, the facility is part of the aerospace firm’s expansion for the BrahMos Next Generation (BrahMos-NG) Missile project.

Because it would bring in specialist technology, the development of BrahMos Aerospace will turn Uttar Pradesh into an aerospace and defence powerhouse for India. According to the statement, it would also place Lucknow on the map as a manufacturing centre for cutting-edge technology.
