Delhi Govt seeks Cooperative Action Plan to Tackle Winter Air Pollution

To battle air pollution during the winter, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has requested the establishment of a coordinated action plan that may be implemented in Delhi and neighbouring states.

He’ll also meet with Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav and the Centre’s Commission for Air Quality Management to examine the problem of stubble burning across Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan, which are all neighbours.

Delhi will begin developing a “winter action plan” next week, according to Gopal Rai, who also urged neighbouring states to adopt the measures taken by the national capital last year to avert worsening air quality.
