Honey Singh ordered to appear in domestic abuse case by Delhi court

After failing to appear in court due to ill health, a Delhi judge ordered singer Hirdesh Singh, who goes by the stage name Yo Yo Honey Singh, to appear on September 3 in connection with a domestic abuse case brought against him by his wife, Shalini Talwar. While hearing the case, Metropolitan Magistrate Tania Singh stated that no one is above the law.

Singh’s lawyer requested that the singer be excused from personal presence, claiming that he is ill, and that he will appear at the next hearing date, when his medical reports and income papers will be provided. The singer’s wife filed a complaint with a Delhi court alleging physical, mental, and emotional abuse by her husband.
