Cyclone Gulab has weakened into a Deep Depression and is moving westwards at a speed of 14 kmph, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday (September 27, 2021).
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the cyclonic storm was centred at 2:30 a.m. over north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha, about 220 kilometres west-southwest of Gopalpur (Odisha), 130 kilometres east-southeast of Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh), and 120 kilometres west of Kalingapatnam (Andhra Pradesh).
“During the next six hours, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and weaken further into a Depression,” the National Weather Service said in a bulletin released at 3:45 a.m.
