Tamil Nadu seeks more vaccine doses from Centre

Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian has requested 1 crore additional Covid-19 vaccine doses and an equal number of 0.5ml AD syringes from Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandviya for the state’s mega vaccination drive on September 12.

Tamil Nadu received a total of 3,31,84,824 doses of Covid-19 vaccine and 1,83,95,400 AD syringes until September 5, according to Ma Subramanian.

To date, 6.06 crore Covid-19 vaccines have been administered to people over the age of 18. 2.63 crore people have received the first dose of vaccine, and 68.91 lakh people have received both doses.
