The French Tennis Federation (FFT) has postponed the 2021 French Open, also known as Roland-Garros, one week ahead of the tournament.
Earlier, the clay-court Grand Slam event was scheduled to begin on May 23 but now the tournament will be held from May 30.
The hold-up will also help organisers to focus on getting more audience to attend the tournament.
We may mention that last year’s French Open was delayed by four months and held in September.
