The number of new cases of Covid-19 in Assam increased to 205 on Sunday, with the positivity rate rising to 1.06 percent. According to state NHM data, the active caseload has reached 2,089, while the total number of positivity rate of cases in the state has reached 6,06,468.
The additional instances were discovered among 19,350 Covid-19 testing, with Kamrup Metro (68), Jorhat (24), Dhubri (17), and Kamrup Rural having the most cases (11). Meanwhile, there were 245 discharges and six fatalities reported by the state. Barpeta (2), Dibrugarh (2), Kamrup Metro (1), and Kamrup Rural (1) are the districts with the most deaths (1).
During the day, six fatalities were reported, one less than the previous day. According to the NHM bulletin, Barpeta and Dibrugarh districts each had two fatalities, while Kamrup Metropolitan and Kamrup Rural districts each had one death.
The overall number of COVID-19 deaths has risen to 5,950, whereas the number of coronavirus patients who died from other causes has stayed unchanged at 1,347. On Sunday, 68 additional cases were discovered in Kamrup Metropolitan and 24 in Jorhat districts.
During the day, 245 patients were discharged across the state, bringing the total number of individuals recovered to 5,97,082 with a 98.45% recovery rate.
The overall number of recoveries in the state is 5,97,082, with a recovery rate of 98.45%, while the total number of fatalities is 5,950, with a death rate of 0.98 percent. The number of active cases in the state currently is 2,089.
Meanwhile, 1.97 crore vaccine doses were administered in the state so far. The bulletin said 65,84,511 people have received both doses.
